Kids Expo Review
Airbrush Gypsy attended the Kids Expo. We provided temporary airbrush tattoos for one and all! Each child walked away from our booth with a huge smile and a great tattoo!
No signs were seen in route to the show, although several places on the internet advertised. A bulletin board had also been displayed for the expo. Huge signs at the venue to make it easy to find. A big parking lot allowed for plenty of free parking.
Although there was a winter weather advisory the day before and chilly the morning of the show, attendees stood in line waiting to get in the door.
It was very interesting to see the variety of businesses that cater to our children! There were several summer camps, a dentist, chiropractors, the Childrens' Hospital, Marriott Resorts, day care, the band Fun Bus, the Sheriff, the fire department, online directories, college savings plan, a radio station, a petting zoo, a couple of indoor inflatable companies, etc. Overall about 200 companies!
I did not see face painters, clowns, magicians or a balloon artist, nor did I get any contact information for these types of businesses.
Some businesses gave away pens, balloons, xylophones, brochures magnets and were raffling off prizes.
There were plenty of activities for children, not only at the main stage, but also at many booths.
The staff was very friendly and organized! I don’t think there was abad booth space there. The owner of the promoter business even stopped by the one time we were not busy to check on us. Although it was nice to get a break for a moment, it was even nicer that someone took notice and was concerned.
I found the crowd to be interesting, to say the least. I was amazed by the number of what appeared to be single dads with their kids and asking about birthday parties. I have never had so many men inquiring before.
One thousand seven hundred forty five of our brochures were given out. Thirty seven people gave us their phone number to call them. We had fifty two customers leave an email address to contact them. Contact information for all of the businesses that attended was also provided!
We had several businesses approach us about coming to their venue to apply tats for them! Even more parents inquired about birthday party prices!
Overall, I can not think of a thing that this promoter could do to improve this show!
We look forward to doing this show again next year and have already asked about any other shows that this promoter does. She went out of her way to make sure that we could have the best show possible!
