Kite Day

We were blown away at the Kite Day event we attended this past weekend! The kites that the Richmond Air Force Kite Club have are awesome! Some of the amazing things they are able to do with the kites are: have the kite dance to the beat of the music, walk on the ground, and shadow a person as they walk across the field! The kites themselves were unbelievable! They had assorted shapes like a fish, a penguin, a guitar, intertwined circles, lady bugs, and even one that was woven with holes in it! We were very thankful that we were able to watch for a few moments!
The wind didn't stop the people, both children and adults, from taking off their jackets or pulling up a pant leg to get a temporary airbrush tattoo! The crowd stood against the wind waiting for their turn to get one of the several designs available. Some of the favorites of the day were the  lizard, rose, sun, grim reaper, and pixies!

A lady from an event we did two weeks ago showed up. While her daughter got an airbrush tattoo, we asked the mom how long the previous tattoo lasted. She said, ' it lasted forever!'

This was truly an eye opening show which we look forward to again next year!

Thank you to everyone that got temporary airbrush tattoos!
